Actions to tackle speeding locally

We know that speeding and other driving offences are a key concern for many residents across our area and we continue to tackle this wherever possible alongside our daily duties.

This includes carrying out speed checks, supporting our Community Speedwatch groups in Castleton and Bamford and taking enforcement action where needed. Yesterday, this resulted in two HGVs being stopped from accessing Winnats Pass due to weight restrictions.

We understand that everyone is passionate about their own communities and we aim to carry out checks across a variety of locations.
